Plume Adaptive WiFi™ has been developed to specifically overcome the limitations of existing Wi-Fi systems.
Repeaters and Extenders
Many single router Wi-Fi systems can give you the speed you need as long as you’re not too far away. Some utilize Wi-Fi repeaters or extenders to add to the coverage of the original router, but the lack of intelligence in the signal delivery causes interference, further slowing down speed.
Mesh systems, where the network is built by coordinated routers, improve coverage issues to a certain extent, but hit a glass ceiling because the routers can only communicate with each other on a single channel. This results in slower Wi-Fi speeds over time as you increase the use of and the number of devices on your network. These systems are largely static and ignore the dynamic nature of your digital home.
Plume is a cloud coordinated Wi-Fi system that exponentially increases the signal strength and quality of the Wi-Fi in your home. It replaces your router, but it also can work with your existing router if you decide to keep your current home network setup.
Plume monitors your Wi-Fi activity and balances your network load without sacrificing the performance of one device over another. Plume utilizes multiple Wi-Fi channels in the same home to communicate between Plume Pods, eliminating congestion as your Wi-Fi demands change and increase.
Our cloud algorithms figure out which band to use for each device to ensure your devices have access to the speed they deserve, avoiding interference along the way. Plume WiFi adapts to the physical space you live in, your online devices, your household, and even to your neighbor’s Wi-Fi usage patterns (yes, their networks also impact your environment!).
It adapts real-time to your personal needs.
